Educational Resources

My 17-year old son, Rob, was diagnosed with autism when he was around 3 years old, and our family was informed by his doctors at that time that it was unlikely that he would ever attend college. However, through early intervention, Rob is now poised to graduate from George Washington High School in June, 2008, and has already applied to the Community College of Philadelphia's Culinary Arts Program. He currently ranks 65th out of a class of 370 students.

It is because of Rob that I am currently enrolled in an education program studying to become a teacher. Below you will find a series of educational websites that I find interesting and resourceful. Because of my personal situation, you will also find that many of these sites deal with special education and children with special needs.
